Carrot Milkshake

Here's an awesome milkshake recipe that you can make for your kids. Carrots are so good for health and I normally make carrot juice but I make this carrot milkshake too. Both tastes good! You can try this shake if you have fussy kids who won't eat the vegetable. I have a lot of ways to hide carrot in food like the carrot cake, carrot juice, carrot paratha and this is another recipe!

Carrot Milkshake

CARROT MILKSHAKE
Preparation time 5 mins | Cooking time 0 | Serves 1

Ingredients
  • Carrot - 1 medium to large
  • Milk - 1 cup (chilled)
  • Sugar - 2 tsp (or to taste)
  • Vanilla ice cream - 1 scoop (I did not add)
Carrot Milkshake

Method
1. Wash the carrot and chop into small pieces. Or you can grate them.
2. Add the carrots to a blender. Along with it add the sugar, ice cream and 1/2 cup of milk.
3. Blend to a smooth paste. Strain this mixture well. Add the remaining milk and serve.

Notes
1. Using chilled milk is better than adding ice cubes which will dilute the taste.
2. It is best to strain the carrot mixture otherwise it will be too gritty.
3. You can add some nuts like almonds or walnuts.
4. Adding ice cream makes the shake more yum but I did not have any at hand hence did not add.

Until next time,
