If you are looking for a quick and healthy snack option then these no bake oats peanut butter bars work well. They are easy and quick to make and it tastes really good!
Ingredients
- Peanut Butter - 1 cup (250 gms)
- Rolled oats - 3 cups
- Chocolate - 1 cup (155 gms)
- Butter - 170 gms (3/4 cup)
- Jaggery/Brown sugar - 1/2 cup (60 gms)
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
Method
1. Take 1 cup peanut butter in a microwave safe bowl.
2. Add chopped chocolate to it and melt it in the microwave for 30-40 seconds. Mix well till it becomes smooth. Set aside.
3. Grease and line an 8 inch pan and set aside.
4. In a saucepan, add the butter and jaggery (or brown sugar).
5. Mix well till it comes together.
6. Then add the salt and cinnamon powder and mix it in.
7. Add the rolled oats and mix well and cook for about 8 mins in medium heat.
8. Once the oats is cooked well, transfer 2/3rd of this mixture into the prepared tin and press tightly.
9. Next, add about 3/4th of the chocolate mixture over the oats and spread evenly.
10. Now, sprinkle the remaining oats mixture over the chocolate and press lightly.
11. Finally, drizzle the remaining chocolate over the oats.
12. Leave this in the fridge for 10-12 hours to set well.
13. Then cut into bars or squares and enjoy.
Notes
1. You can use either smooth or crunchy peanut butter.
2. You can use any chocolate of your choice, I have used dark chocolate.
3. Get your pan ready in the beginning itself as the oats will set quickly.
4. If you're using rolled oats, then you need to cook it well. If you're using instant oats, it will cook faster.
