Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe - A guest post by Tanya

Today I am delighted to have Tanya from Easy and Simple Foods do a guest post for me! Tanya is a wonderful person I have come across. Blogging has given me some wonderful friends and Tanya is one among them.

Her blog is an awesome blog with unique recipes. I love all her posts and you must visit her blog for more! I am so glad she agreed to do a guest post for me. How can my blog be without a guest post from a good friend!
This is a wonderful recipe! I love chocolates and this chocolate chip cookie is one of my favorite! But I have not had the time to post a cookie recipe yet and I am glad she came up with this post.

I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did.
Thank you so much for writing for me dear! Do hop over to Easy and Simple Foods for more such wonderful recipes.

This is my First guest post to my dear buddy blogger Beulah for her Blog Full Scoops.

First about Beulah and her blog, She has a great collection of recipes and always i admire her cakes and strawberry dishes. I have bookmarked her strawberry recipes to try in the coming season... :)
From her posts I understood that this girl loves chocolates... When Beulah pinged me to do a guest post for her blog, I happily agreed, and that moment I thought I must do something with chocolate... Initially I was thinking to do a chocolate cake and she posted a chocolate cake recipe in the next day itself.. :) So I just moved to the chocolate chip cookie... Hope she will like it... :)
This is a special dedication to Beulah for her support and love to me... :))))

About the cookies, this is one of the very simple and easy to make snack for the family. From the time I started baking, I stopped buying store bought cakes and cookies. Since Its been a month I made cookies, these were huge successful. Even got a good feedback from my friends (my daughter's friends actually.. he he he) and neighbors...  I was not having any cookie cutter and roller, so please excuse me on the shape of it...

Ingredients
  • All purpose flour - 1-1/4 cups
  • sugar(granulated / brown / combined) - 3/4 cup (I combined both and used)
  • Chocolate chips -1 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tea spoon
  • Butter - 1/2 cup (at room temperature)
  • Salt - 1 tea spoon (if you are using unsalted butter use, otherwise not required)
  • Egg- 1 (at room temperature)
  • Baking soda- 1/2 tea spoon

Method
1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, baking soda and keep aside.
2. In a large bowl, mix butter, Sugar and beat well.
3. Then Add, egg and vanilla extract, beat until it is soft.
4. Gradually add, flour and mix slowly (It will look like tight, but when you keep mixing, it will come to the right consistency)
5. Then add the chocolate chip and mix thoroughly...
6. In the mean time, preheat the oven to 375F and in a cookie tray, arrange the parchment sheet.
7. Take a table spoon of batter and shape it to circle cookies using a spoon and butter knife. Press with a fork on top and make some stripes.

8. Bake it for 7-8 minutes, then completely cool it on cooling rack.

It is perfect snack for after school, as well as for birthday parties and gatherings...  This measurement makes almost two dozens of small cookies. I made 8 bigger cookies and 10 small cookies

Once again Thanks to Beulah for this wonderful opportunity... :)
