முடகத்தான் கீரை இட்லி | Mudakathan Keerai Idli | Balloon Vine Idli - In this video, we will see how to make a tasty and healthy mudakathan keerai idli.


Ingredients
  • Mudakathan Keerai - 1 bunch
  • Green chilli - 3
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Idli Batter

Method
1. Clean and wash the mudakathan keerai and add it in a mixee jar. To this add green chillies and cumin seeds.
2. Add little water and grind to a smooth paste.
3. You can add this to freshly ground idli batter and let it ferment overnight and then make idlis.
4. Or you can add the keerai paste to already fermented idli batter and then make idlis immediately.
5. Grease the idli plates, add the batter into idli moulds and steam cook the idlis for 8 mins.

Serve idlis with chutney, podi or sambar.

Notes
1. Steam cook only for 8 mins. Don't overcook.
2. Add the keerai paste to fresh idli batter, only then the idli will be soft. If the idli batter is 3 days old, then make mudakathan keerai dosai with the batter.
