Apple Cake

This apple cake is made with fresh sweet apples and it tastes so divine. It is loaded with apples, every bite explodes with the goodness of apples and cinnamon. If you have apples in your home, you have to try this for sure. 




Ingredients
  • Eggs - 2
  • Sugar - 100 gms
  • Milk - 100ml
  • Oil - 40 gms
  • All purpose flour - 80gm
  • Baking powder - 2 tsp
  • Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - pinch
  • Vanilla - 2 tsp
  • Lemon juice - 2 tsp
  • Apples - 5

Method
1. Take 2 eggs in a bowl, add vanilla and beat till it's light and fluffy.
2. Then add powdered sugar and continue to beat.
3. Add oil and milk and beat again.
4. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C for 15 mins.
5. In a small bowl. take the flour, baking powder, cinnamon powder and salt. Mix well.
6. Peel and slice 5 apples. Make thin pieces.
7. Add lemon juice to the apples and mix well.
8. Place a sieve over the wet ingredients, add the dry ingredients and sieve it into the bowl. Mix the wet and the dry ingredients together.
9. Add the apples into the batter and mix well.
10. Transfer the batter into a greased 8 inch cake tin and bake in the pre heated oven for 50-55 mins or until a tooth pick comes out clean.
11. Remove from the oven once done and let it cool completely before cutting into it.

Notes
1. You can mix some sugar and cinnamon powder and sprinkle it over the batter before baking.
