Easy Quick Evening Snack Recipe | Poha Vada | How to make Crispy Poha Vada | Evening Snacks - In this recipe we will see how to make a quick easy and crispy evening snack recipe make with poha. This poha vada is very tasty and kids will love it.  



Ingredients
  • Poha / aval - 1 cup
  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Green chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Rice flour - 2 tbsp
  • Sooji/Rava - 1 tbsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - to fry

Method
1. Take the poha in a bowl and add little water to it. Soak it for 5 minutes.
2. After 5 mins, squeeze out the water from the poha and place it in a separate bowl.
3. To the drained out poha, add the onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, rice, flour, sooji and salt.
4. Mix this all together. If the mixture is too dry, sprinkle little water and mix well.
5. Take little bit of this mixture and shape it into vada. Close the sides well and shape the vada.
6. Fry the vada in the hot oil, keep flipping the vada, till it browns evenly and then remove it and place it on a tissue paper to drian.

Notes
1. I have used the white variety of poha, you can use the red one too. If using the red poha, soak for little longer.
2. If you are making this for kids, skip the green chillies and add little pepper powder.
