Papad Samosa | Easy Samosa Recipe with Papad | Easy Evening Snacks Recipes | Crispy Samosa Recipe - This samosa is an easy recipe that you can make for snacks. You can make this with easily available ingredients in your kitchen. During lockdown, when we could not go out anywhere, I made this snack for my kids.

  • Onion - 1, chopped
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Lemon juice - few drops
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Small appalams (papad) - as needed
  • Maida - 2 tsp
  • Water - as required
  • Oil - to fry

Method
1. In a bowl, take the onion and add all the masala mentioned.
2. Add the lemon juice and curry leaves and coriander leaves. Mix it well.
3. Take the papad/appalam, and soak it in water for 20-30 seconds.
4. Take the maida in a small bowl, add little water and make into a paste.
5. Take the soaked papad and place a little filling in the middle and close the papad like a samosa. Use the maida paste to seal the borders.
6. Do it slowly and gently as the papad can easily tear.
7. Watch the video, to see how to shape the samosa.
8. Heat oil in a kadai and fry the samosas till it turns golden brown.

Notes
1. Do not soak the papad for too long, then it will tear.
2. Use small sized papad to get the small samosa.
3. Keep your filling light (as I've mentioned above), if you do a heavy filling like potatoes, then the papad will tear.
4. If you don't want to use maida, use cornflour or wheat flour.
5. By the time, the oil heats up, the soaked samosa will dry off so it's ok to out it in the hot oil.
6. The samosa will brown quickly as it is only appalam(papads), fry it quickly and remove it from oil.

Bible blessing - Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You are close beside me. Psalm 23:4

Until next time,
