My close friend Asha shared this powder with me and I make it for my kids often. So many children get rashes on using commercial soaps and body wash. This homemade powder is safe to use and very easy to make also. This can be used on babies safely just be cautious while using it on face. The ingredients used in this powder is so simple and easily available. As the child grows, you can add more ingredients to this powder.
Caution - You can use this powder on new born babies also but please do a trial on the baby's
arm to see if it suits the baby and then start. Also if using for babies then make sure you grind
the powder in a mill so that you get a very fine soft powder. If the baby develops rashes,
then stop using immediately.
Ingredients
Method
1. Dry roast the channa dal and green gram for 5 minutes.
2. Add the fenugreek seeds and roast for 2 minutes.
3. Dry all the 3 in the sun for 1 day.
4. Give it in mill and grind to a fine powder.
Notes
1. This keeps well for long since we are using fenugreek seeds.
2. We add fenugreek seeds to prevent worms/bugs forming in the powder.
3. This makes a large batch, you can half and use also.
4. If using it for older kids then you can add some rose petals for a lovely aroma.
