Homemade Chocolate Sauce Recipe / How to make Chocolate Sauce

I love chocolate! I have said that many times here! So I always have chocolate sauce in my kitchen to use it on desserts. Chocolate sauce definitely makes the dessert taste more good. It makes a sinful dessert even more sinful! I used to buy Hershey's all the time but when I made this sauce for the first time, I never went back to store bought chocolate sauce again.

You can adjust the consistency of the sauce by the amount of water added. You can reduce the water a bit for a thicker sauce or keep stirring for some time to get a thicker consistency like the store bought syrups.
I like mine just as it is!

CHOCOLATE SAUCE
Preparation time 0 | Cooking time 10 mins

Ingredients
  • Hershey's Cocoa - 1/2 cup (or any other unsweetened cocoa powder)
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • Salt - a tiny pinch

Method
1. Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
2. Add water, and mix until smooth.
3. Bring this mixture to a boil.
4. Allow it to boil for one minute, be careful this does not over boil.
5. Remove from heat.

6. When this cools add the vanilla.

Notes
1. If you prefer a thicker sauce, reduce the water to 3/4th cup. Or keep the flame at low and you can stir the mixture for longer until the sauce thickens.

Until next time,

    1. If handled properly, this stays good for a month or two in the refrigerator.
