Ferrero Rocher Cake | How to make a Ferrero Rocher Cake - In this post, we will see how to make a tasty and delicious ferrero rocher cake. This cake has a nutty flavor and tastes just like the ferrero rocher chocolate. 



Ingredients 
  • Maida - 1 cup 
  • Cocoa powder - 4 tbsp 
  • Eggs - 2 
  • Sugar - 1 cup 
  • Baking powder - 1 tsp 
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp 
  • Oil - 1/4 cup 
  • Warm Water - 1/4 cup 
  • Nutella - 1 tbsp 
  • Salt - a pinch 
  • Vanilla - 1 tsp 
  • Hazlenuts - 1/4 cup 
  • Ferrero Rocher - as needed 

Nutella Ganache 
  • Dark chocolate - 400 gms 
  • Cream - 200 gms 
  • Butter - 1 tbsp 
  • Nutella - 80 gms 
  • Hazlenuts - 1/4 cup

Method
1. Grease and line a 6 inches cake tin with oil or butter and pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C for 15 mins.
2. Dry roast the hazlenuts and blend it in a dry mixee jar. Don't blend for long then it will become pasty and release oil. Just pulse few times, till it becomes powdery and grainy.
3. Now to make the batter, take 2 eggs in a bowl, add vanilla and beat till it's light and fluffy.
4. Add the sugar and beat again.
5. Then add the oil and nutella and beat well. 
6. Now for the dry ingredients, place a sieve over the bowl and add the maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Mix well and sieve it into the bowl.
7. Add the warm water and the ground hazlenuts. Combine the wet and the dry ingredients gently. Don't overmix the batter.
8. Transfer the batter into the cake tin and tap the tin on the counter to remove any air bubbles.
9. Bake in the pre heated oven for 18-20 mins or until a skewer comes out clean.
10. Wait for the cakes to cool down and then remove the cake from the tin.
11. Once the cake cools down, cut off the top layer of the cakes.

Nutella Ganache
1. Heat the cream and add it over chopped chocolate. Add the butter and mix till the chocolate and cream is well mixed and smooth.
2, Add the nutella and mix again.
3. Then take another 1/4 cup of hazlenuts and chop them fine and add it in the ganache and mix it through.
4. Leave this ganache in the fridge for 15-20 mins for it to set.

Assembling
1. Chop some ferrero rocher to keep in between the layers of cake while frosting.
2. Place the first layer of cake on the cake board and soak if you want.
3. Then add some nutella ganache and spread well.
4. Add the chopped up ferrero rocher chocolate.
5. Place the next layer of cake, add ganache and frost the entire cake.
6. Keep the cake in the fridge for 30 mins.
7. After 30 mins, bring the cake out and you can decorate the cake as you wish. You can place more chopped ferrero rocher chocolate on top of the cake.
