No Grain No Grit Smooth Creamy Buttercream Recipe - In this post, we will see how to make a smooth and creamy buttercream without any grains or grits and a buttercream that is not too sweet! 



Ingredients 
  • Icing sugar - 200 gms 
  • Hot milk/water - 1/4 cup 
  • Unsalted butter (slightly cold) - 300 gms 
  • Vanilla - 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt - a pinch

Method
1. Take the icing sugar in a bowl and add 1/4 cup of hot milk and mix well. This way the sugar will be completely dissolved and the final buttercream will not be grainy or gritty.
2. Once the sugar dissolves, add vanilla and a pinch of salt and you can add some color. Mix well.
3. Let this cool down completely. 
4. Then take the slightly cold butter and beat it till it's creamy. 
5. Stop the beater and scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
6. Then add the cooled milk and sugar mixture. Add 2 tbsp at a time and beat well. Beat till it's smooth and creamy.
7. Now the smooth vanilla buttercream is ready. After this you can add color and flavorings if needed and beat again.
8. Leave it in the fridge for sometime and the start to frost the cake.

Notes
1. This buttercream is less sweet than the normal american buttercream.
