Best Tea Cake Recipe | Best Butter Cake Recipe | Simple Cakes - In this post, we will see how to make a simple tea cake that is so tasty and delicious. It's an absolute family favorite!



Ingredients 
  • Maida - 1 cup 
  • Eggs - 4 
  • Sugar - 1 cup 
  • Milk - 3 tbsp 
  • Melted butter - 3 tbsp 
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp 
  • Baking soda - 1/8th tsp 
  • Salt - 1/4 tsp 
  • Vanilla - 2 tsp

Method
1. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C for 15 mins. Grease and line a 10 by 5 inches loaf tin.
2. Add the maida, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a sieve placed over a bowl.
3. Sieve the dry ingredients 3 times.
4. In another bowl, add the eggs and vanilla.
5. Beat the eggs until it's light and fluffy.
6. Add the sugar and continue to beat.
7. Add milk and melted butter and beat for another 30 seconds.
8. Sieve the dry ingredients into the bowl.
9. Gently mix the wet and the dry ingredients, don't overmix the batter.
10. Transfer the batter into the cake tin, tap the tin on the counter to remove air bubbles.
11. Bake in the pre heated oven for 45-50 mins or until a skewer comes out clean.
12. Remove the cake from the oven, wait for 20 mins for the cake to cool down and then remove the cake from the tin and enjoy!

Notes
1. Cake tins - I have used 10*5 inches cake tin. You can bake this cake in one 9 or 8 inches tin or even two 8 inch round tins.
