Oats and Fig smoothie

I love oats and I love figs too! So this drink is very special to me. It is a healthy drink, full of fiber. Very good for breakfast as it's filling.

  • Oats  -  2 tbsps
  • Figs   -  5
  • Milk   -   1 cup
  • Sugar -  2 tsp (optional)

1. Soak the figs in hot water for 15mins. This helps the figs to blend easily.

2. Soak the oats in the milk for 15 mins. 
3. Chop the figs into small pieces and add quarter cup of milk, oats and sugar in a blender.
4. Blend till well combined. Pour into a glass and then stir the rest of the milk.
5. Serve chilled.

1. You can use chilled milk or freeze milk in ice trays and use those cubes.
2. Sugar is your choice. Add if interested or leave out.
3. You can even use 1 tbsp honey instead of sugar.
4. You can even add a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
