Nutella Chocolate Cake | Nutella Recipes

This is a simple and easy chocolate cake recipe made only with nutella and it requires no cocoa powder or cooking chocolate. I had a jar of nutella that I was looking to use up and it was my driver's son's second birthday so I made this delightful cake and it came out so well, soft and delicious! I frosted the cake with more nutella and that made the cake even more yum!
What I felt was, this cake was only mildly chocolaty, if you want to make it more chocolaty,  check notes for my tips.

This recipe marks my 400th post! I feel so happy that I have been able to post 400 recipes! Check out the other milestone posts. And check out the other easy nutella recipes.

Nutella Chocolate Cake

Method
1. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C (350 degrees F) and line and grease a 9 inch baking pan.

2. In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar. Add the eggs, two at a time along with vanilla extract and beat well.

3. Add the nutella and beat again.
4. Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt. Fold gently.

5. Pour into the prepared pan and bake for 35 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean.

6. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove the cake from pan and cool completely.

Frost as you wish. I used more nutella to frost the cake! Or make a nutella ganache!
When the cake is warm, add the nutella and spread to cover the cake.

Notes
1. As I mentioned earlier, this cake is only mildly chocolaty. If you want a more deep chocolate flavor, use 150 gms flour and 50 gms cocoa powder, in addition to the nutella.
2. While mixing the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, fold gently, do not over mix.
3. My cake was done in 35 minutes, each oven is different, check with skewer.

Until next time,
