Sathumaavu Ladoo

Sathumaavu is a health mix powder made with many healthy nuts, grains, millets. This is made especially for young children to help them meet the nutritional requirements. My kids don't like to eat porridge made from this sathumaavu. It was easier to feed them the porridge when they were little but now, they are not so interested in the porridge. So I started making other dishes with the sathumaavu for them, like the sathumavu dosa, uthapam. This is another recipe that I made with the powder. This is an easy to make, healthy snack for both the kids and adults.

Notes
1. Adding nuts is optional. You can add any nuts. My homemade sathumaavu powder has lots of nuts in it, I added these almonds only for the crunch.
2. Add more ghee if you are not able to make the ladoos.
3. If making this for the kids, then you can skip the nuts and increase the karupatti and ghee a little bit.
4. Karupatti is called as palm jaggery in English. If you don't have it, you can use jaggery, honey or even sugar.

Until next time,
