3. After 8 hours, add the soaked rice and dal in the largest mixee jar. Add in 2 batches.
4. While grinding do not add too much water. Add just enough water to grind. The batter should not be runny.
5. Grind for 3-4 minutes till the batter is smooth, then transfer the batter to a vessel.
6. Add the next batch of rice and dal and grind again. Do not let the mixee heat up.
7. While grinding the second batch, add the salt and grind to a smooth batter.
8. Transfer this second batch into the same vessel.
9. Now using your hand, mix the batter well for 3-5 minutes.

Notes
1. I always grind my rice and urad dal together so I soak for a longer time.
2. While using mixee to grind idli batter, always remember to not let the mixee heat up too much. To prevent this, you can add ice cold water while grinding the batter or leave the rice & dal soaked bowl in the fridge for the last 30 minutes before grinding the batter.
3. If you add too much water then your idlis will become flat.
