Brown rice dosa - In this post, we will see how to make a healthy and a crispy brown rice dosa. Instead of the usual dosa we always make, you can tryout this super healthy dosa recipe for your breakfast. It will keep you full longer.
Ingredients
- Brown Rice - 2 cups
- Black urad dal - 3/4 cup
- Aval (poha) - 1 cup
- Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
- Channa dal - 1/4 cup

Method
1. Add all the ingredients in a large bowl and wash 3 times.
2. Pour enough water and soak the ingredients for 6-8 hours.
3. After 8 hours, transfer the ingredients into the mixee, add enough salt and water and grind to a smooth batter.
4. Pour into a large vessel, cover and let it ferment for 8 hours.
5. After 8 hours, the batter is ready to make super crispy and tasty dosas.
Notes
1. You need to soak longer as both brown rice and black urad dal is harder to grind in mixee.
2. I always use red rice poha only. That makes the dosa more healthy. As I didnt have red rice poha, I have used white rice poha here.
3. Poha and channa dal gives nice crispness to the dosa.
