I love making mug cakes since they are instant and most of all it comes in small portions. I usually make my instant microwave brownie for sudden chocolate cravings, although that is an extremely delicious recipe, I sometimes go with this nutella recipe since it has less ingredients! It takes very less time to put together and it tastes just as good!
What I observed was that the cake is very soft and delicious to eat but it's also a tad bit crumbly. But since we are eating out of a mug with a spoon, it is not a problem. Also pour some chocolate sauce or ganache or nutella over it and it's just pure heaven!
I served it with some left over warm nutella ganache, you can just spoon some nutella over it and enjoy.
Nutella Mug Cake
Preparation time 5 mins | Cooking time 1 min | Serves 2
Recipe from - kirbi's cravings
Ingredients
Method
1. In a microwave safe bowl, add the flour, baking powder and milk and mix well. The mix will be stiff but will come together with the nutella.
2. Add 1/4 cup nutella and combine everything together, mix well without any lumps.
3. Microwave on high for 1 minute. If it's not done, cook for another 10 seconds.
Scoop some ice cream or pour some chocolate sauce or ganache or some plain nutella or whipped cream over it and enjoy! I added some nutella ganache over mine.
Notes
1. My microwave is 900 watts, each microwave is different, make sure you don't over cook If you over cook the cake will become dry, rubbery and hard.
2. You can add a pinch of salt and coffee powder too.
3. You can add some nuts or chocolate chips too.
4. Use the right measurements, don't do guess work while adding nutella.
5. Use a tall microwave safe bowl/mug to avoid the batter from spilling over and spoiling your microwave.
