Vazhaithandu Kootu

Vazhaithandu kootu is called as Banana Stem or Plantain Stem in English. There are so many dishes that can be made with Vazhaithandu. I usually make vazhaithandu juice, vazhaithandu pachadi, vazhaithandu poriyal. This kootu is very simple and easy to make, it is tasty and very healthy too. It is high in fibre and it helps in digestion, relieves constipation and has a host of other benefits too. This goes well with rice sambar rice, rasam rice or kuzhambu sadam.
