Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies | Oats Chocolate Chip Cookies | Oats Cookie Recipe - In this recipe, we will see how to make a simple and tasty oats chocolate chip cookies. These cookies are crispy around the edges and chewy in the center making it utterly delicious! 


Ingredients 
  • Rolled Oats - 1.5 cups 
  • Chocolate Chips - 1 cup 
  • All purpose flour/maida - 1 cup 
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup (113 gms) 
  • Brown Sugar - 2/3 cup (preferably light brown sugar) 
  • White sugar - 1/3 cup 
  • Egg - 1 
  • Baking soda - 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp 
  • Vanilla - 2 tsp

Method
1, Take the maida in a bowl and add the baking soda, salt and mix well.
2. In another bowl, beat the butter and then add the brown sugar and white sugar and beat well.
3. Stop the beater in between and scrape the bottom and sides of the bowl.
4. Add the beat and vanilla and beat again.
5. Add the dry ingredients (maida, baking soda, salt), combine with a spatula.
6. Then add the oats and the chocolate chips and mix together.
7. Refrigerate the batter for 1 hour.
8. About 15 mins before you start, pre heat the oven to 170 degrees C for 20 mins.
9. Take the cookie dough from the fridge, take about 1 small ice cream scoop of the dough, shape it into a cookie and place it on the baking sheet lined with baking paper.
10. Place some chocolate chips on top of the shaped cookie dough.
11. Bake in the pre heated oven for 10-12 mins.
12. Leave the remaining dough in the fridge.
13. My cookies were baked in 12 mins. Remove the tray from the oven when the outside of the cookies are firm and the inside still slightly soft. Once out of the oven, the cookies will continue to bake and crisp up. 
14. Continue baking the remaining cookies.

Notes
1.I used rolled oats, you can use quick cooking oats.
2. Powder the white sugar before adding it to the batter.
3. Instead of chocolate chips, you can use raisins as well.
