Instant Microwave Banana Nutella Mug Cake

What's not to love in a mug cake! It's easy, quick and delicious! One fine day, I was looking around my house for a bar of chocolate and unfortunately I could not find any. So instead of sulking, I decided to make myself some mug cake and this is what I ended up making. I had some left over nutella and this mug cake was finished in no time! 

I love the combination of banana and chocolate. I have made many cakes and muffins with banana and chocolate and loved it! This mug cake was no different, it almost tasted like a brownie. Didn't matter to me, if this was a brownie or a cake, it tasted just too good!

BANANA NUTELLA MUG CAKE
Preparation time 5 mins | Cooking time 1 min 30 secs | Serves 1

Ingredients

• Ripe Banana - 1 small or 1/2 of large banana
• Nutella or any chocolate spread - 1 tbsp
• Melted butter - 1 tbsp
• Powdered sugar - 1 tbsp
• All purpose flour (maida) - 1.5 tbsp
• Chocolate chips - 2 tbsp

Method

1. In a microwave safe bowl, take the banana and mash well. 

2. Add the flour and sugar. Add the melted butter, chocolate chips and nutella.

3. Mix well and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Take out, stir and put it back again for 30 seconds.

4. Let it stand for a few minutes and then enjoy with some chocolate sauce!

Notes

1. My microwave is 900 watts. Adjust the timings according to your microwave.

2. Do not over cook. Microwave cakes become rubbery if you over cook.

3. You can use any homemade chocolate spread too instead of nutella.
