முடக்கத்தான் கீரை சூப் | Mudakathan Keerai Soup | Mudakathan Keerai Health Benefits - In this video, we will see how to make a tasty and healthy mudakathan keerai soup. This soup is beneficial for arthritis, joint pain as it has anti inflammatory properties. It also heals ulcer in the stomach and has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.
Ingredients
- Mudakathan keerai - 2 bunches
- Small onion - 8
- Garlic - 3
- Tomato - 2
- Coriander powder - 1 tsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Water - 2 cups

Method
1. Wash and clean the balloon vine leaves and transfer it to a pressure cooker.
2. Add the shallots, garlic, tomatoes, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt.
3. Add 2 cups water and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
4. If using saucepan, cook for 10 mins.
5. Open and serve.
Notes
1. One tomato is enough for this soup, I have added 2 tomatoes to make it more tasty, especially if giving to small kids.
2. This soup can be made in a sauce pan itself, I used a cooker to cook faster.
3. I used 2 cups of water, you can use more.
4. If kids don't like to drink this soup, you can add it to sambar rice, mix and give.
