Pottukadalai Chutney | Easy Chutney Recipes

This is a simple and easy chutney made with pottukadalai called as Roasted Gram Dal in English. This chutney is one of my favorites as it tastes good and it's also very quick to put together. The pottukadalai makes this chutney really yum. My kids and my husband also love this chutney. This goes very well with idli and dosa.

1. Take all the ingredients in a blender, add salt and little water and blend to a smooth paste. Transfer to a serving bowl.

2. In a small tadka pan, add oil. Once the oil heats up add the mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. When the mustard seeds start spluttering and urad dal turns brownish, remove from fire and add it to the chutney.

3. Mix well and serve.

Notes
1. I used only 1 red chilli, if you want it more spicy add more red chillies.
2. You can add a bit more coconut also if needed.

Until next time,
