I love making different chutneys for idli and dosa, I don't like the same stuff everyday so this is a different chutney I made the other day for guests who came home and it tasted really good!
This is different from the Onion Tomato Chutney I posted earlier. This is very easy and very quick to make.

EASY ONION TOMATO CHUTNEY

Ingredients
- Onions - 3 medium
- Tomato - 3 medium
- Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 1 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
- Hing - a pinch

Method
1. Chop the tomatoes and onions roughly and transfer to a blender and blend to a smooth paste.
2. In a kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, urad dal.
3. Once the mustard seeds splutter, add the ground paste.
4. Add the red chilli powder, salt and hing. Saute for a few minutes in medium flame.
5. Cook until it gets slightly thickened and reaches your desired consistency.
Notes
1. Add more or less red chilli powder as per your preference.
