Chicken Dum Biryani in Pressure Cooker
Dum biryani always tastes great but I have never tried to make it at home. One weekend my husband offered to cook and he made this dum biryani. Seeing how flavorful and tasty it was, I ended up tweaking what he did a little bit and made this biryani. Now I make this biryani quite often and we love it!
Usually dum biryani is not made in pressure cooker but I like this method since I am sure that the meat gets cooked completely.
In a dum biryani, frying the onions is an important step. The fried onions gives such an exotic taste to the biryani. I have made this biryani a few times and every time my onions are different! One time I burnt it and some other times, it doesn't get brown enough! If the onions are even slightly burnt, it spoils the whole taste of the biryani. So I tend to remove the onions one stage before browning.

Palak Paneer Biryani
This is another easy and kids favorite lunch box recipe that you can try. I make some kind of pulao/biryani every week for my kids and this time I tried this palak paneer pulao. I first came across this recipe here and this is a nice way to include palak greens and panner. Since most kids love paneer, this will be a sure shot winner with them!
I made this in a pressure cooker for convenience and ease but you can also cook the rice separately and add it to the palak gravy. That way the paneer will also not get over cooked.

Burnt Garlic Fried Rice
Burnt garlic fried rice is similar to the fried rice that is usually made except we add some extra garlic to it and the garlic is slightly burnt to give a unique flavor to the rice.
You can add the garlic at the beginning or you can saute the garlic separately and add it at the end. I make it exactly the same way I make the usual fried rice except I allow the garlic to burn a little bit.

Mushroom and Egg Rice | Easy Lunch Box Recipes
This rice has become one of the most favorite rice recipes for us! We love mushrooms and we love eggs and this makes an awesome combination This rice is so flavorful and delicious and you can have it with minimal accompaniments, a simple raita and chips is more than enough.
You can make this rice on a lazy day and this is amazing to pack for lunch boxes too. When I was making the mushroom and egg bhurji, I had an idea to make a rice out of it and it turned out fabulously! This is just like the masala egg rice but with the addition of mushrooms! This is also similar to a mushroom and egg fried rice but without the 'fancy' additions that goes with making a Chinese style fried rice.

Malai Chicken Biryani
Who doesn't like chicken biryani! Everybody loves chicken or mutton biryani. This time around I made a slight alteration to the normal biryani we make at home and it tasted ever more delicious! Adding cream, made the rice more rich and more awesome! We enjoyed it at home and I hope you will enjoy too!

Mushroom Biryani Recipe / Kaalan Biryani Recipe
I love mushrooms! I used to hate it earlier. I don't know where, but I had it somewhere and it was not good and I never went near mushrooms again. But after marriage, I tasted mushrooms in my in laws house. I was newly married and did not want to offend my mother in law by saying no to her dishes! I am glad I did not say no! It tasted so good and from there on, I have never looked back. Learnt how to cook them well and now mushrooms are my favorites!
This mushroom biryani, tasted too good. My husband enjoyed it so much and gave me many compliments! We loved it so much that now I make different kinds of mushroom biryani like millet mushroom biryani or this paneer mushroom biryani!
Do try it out.

Peas Pulao / Matar Pulao / Pattani Sadam Recipe
Peas Pulao is one of the easiest to make, takes very little time to make and also one of the most delicious and flavorful and most sought after in rice variety, a great lunch box recipe too and also a party favorite. We make this very often in our home and no one complains! This goes well with any non veg or veg gravy or even with plain raita.
Today we had it with Paneer Butter Masala.
The taste of this pulao can be enriched by adding coconut milk or even plain milk. If you don't prefer milk, you can add water. Use fresh peas, if not frozen peas. This can also be made as a one pot meal.
If you want to make this in a pressure cooker, check out this pressure cooker peas pulao.
