Broccoli is one of the healthiest green veggies and I have been trying to include it in our diet. I recently made broccoli pulao and this time made this simple broccoli stir fry. Tastes very good with any rice variety.
BROCCOLI STIR FRY
Preparation time 15 mins | Cooking time 15 mins | Serves 2
Ingredients
2. When the mustard seeds splutter add the chopped onions, green chilli and salt.
3. Saute until the onion turns translucent.
4. Add all the masalas mentioned and mix well. Cook for 3 minutes.
5. Add the broccoli and mix in with the masala.
6. Add about 1/4 cup of water or just sprinkle some water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes stirring in between.
7. Make sure you don't over cook the broccoli.
8. Check for salt and remove from flame.
Notes
1. Do not add too much water. We like the broccoli to remain crunchy.
2. You can also make this poriyal without adding too much masala. The choice is your's. We prefer it this way.

- Onion - 1, chopped

- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
- Fennel powder - 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Urad dal - 1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 sprig

Method
