Papaya mousse is a creamy dessert made with ripe papaya, cream and sugar. I love papaya but my kids are not too fond of it so I make this easy mousse to make them eat it. This is similar to jackfruit mousse which I posted earlier.
PAPAYA MOUSSE
Preparation time 15 mins | Serves 3-4
Ingredients
Method
1. Chop the papaya and add it to the blender.
2. Add the cream and sugar and blend well.
3. Transfer to serving bowls and let it set for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
4. Garnish with small pieces of chopped papaya and serve.
Notes
1. The amount of sugar/cane sugar you add depends on the sweetness of the fruit. If your fruit is very ripe and sweet, you need not add too much sugar.
2. I used low fat cream and added it directly to the blender. If using heavy cream, then whip the cream to stiff peaks, blend the papaya with sugar separately and then add the papaya to the cream and whip again till combined.
3. You can make this with coconut milk/coconut cream too.
4. Top it with chopped papaya or with chocolate chips.
