Ultimate Brownies

My love affair with brownies continues with this Hershey's Ultimate Brownies! I find that brownies are the easiest to bake and most loved by all so I tend to bake brownies whenever I visit someone. This time, I baked this brownie for my nieces and I should say this is one of the most delicious brownies I have had and everybody else felt the same way too and these brownies disappeared quickly!

Check out the other brownie recipes in my blog
1. Pre heat the oven to 180 degrees C. Grease and line an 8" pan and leave an overhang of the parchment paper to remove easily.
2. In a bowl, add the cocoa powder, salt, baking soda and coffee powder. Melt the butter and add it to this and stir until it thickens.
3. Now add boiling water to this mixture and mix again with spatula.
4. Add the sugar and mix again.
5. Add the egg and vanilla extract and beat for couple of minutes.
6. Sift in the flour and fold gently.
7. Add the chocolate chips and fold again.
8. Pour into prepared tin and bake for 25 minutes or until a skewer comes out with just a little crumbs sticking to it.

9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then remove from pan and cool completely.

Ultimate Brownie

Note
1. Each oven is different, mine was done in 25 minutes, start checking from 25 mins onwards.
2. Coat the chocolate chips with 2 tsp flour, this will prevent it from sinking to the bottom.
3. I used granulated sugar but powdered it in a blender after measuring.

Until next time,

  10. I guess the flour mentioned in the recipe is lesser as compared to liquid content when one adds yogurt

    1. Yes the flour is less comparatively and eggs give volume to the batter so it doesn't sink.

  11. My brownies sunk as well. I followed the exact same measurement. Any idea why that could have happened?

    1. There may be many reasons for sinking, over mixing, opening the oven door too soon to check the brownies...I'm not sure where it might have gone off for you. This recipe is from Hershey's kitchen, one of the best brownie recipes!
