Kuthiraivali Keerai Sadam

Keerai Sadam is a healthy one pot dish that I make to pack for lunch boxes. I recently made this keerai sadam with kuthiraivali and it tasted just as good but with double the health benefits. You can make the same with other millets like samai, varagu or thinai.
This keerai sadam is without dal and is made like a biryani, you can also make keerai sadam with dal, I will post that recipe later. I have made this rice with siru keerai, you can make it with any greens variety.

2. In a pressure cooker, heat the oil. Then add the cumin seeds and curry leaves.

3. When the cumin seeds splutter, add the chopped onion and green chillies, saute until the onion turns translucent.
4. Then add the ginger garlic paste and saute until the raw smell leaves.

5. Add the tomatoes and cook till it's soft and well cooked.

7. Now add the curd and mix in.
8. Add the washed and plucked keerai, cook covered for 5 minutes. The keerai will wilt and reduce in quantity.

9. Now add the kuthiraivali and the water. Add lemon juice and required salt.
10. Close the cooker and cook for 2-3 whistles.
11. Once done, open the cooker and fluff it up.

Serve with raita, chips or papad.
